Charities

Each year we vote on 3 charities to help and raise money for. This year we chose:

                        ShelterBox

ShelterBox provides emergency shelter
and vital supplies to support communities
around the world overwhelmed by disaster
and humanitarian crisis.We chose shelter
box as it is a Rotary charity and we had worked
closely with the organisation the previous year.
As we had raised nearly enough for one shelter
box we thought we'd carry on and try to raise the
rest this year which was our first task back in
September. We finally raised the £590 - enough
for one ShelterBox and this went towards helping
people who had suffered from natural disasters.

                     NewLife Foundation

The New Life Foundation provides specialist
disability equipment for children. We feel it is
a great cause that we feel very passionate about.
We discovered this charity near the beginning of
the year when we attended a volunteering fair and
decided to work alongside it to raise some money.
We also had a representative from the charity come
along to talk to us and tell us a bit about what they do.

                        Guide Dogs.

The Guide Dog charity provides mobility and
freedom to blind and partially sighted people.
Choosing Guide Dogs was a very easy decision
for us as we are very passionate about the cause
and its a matter very close to our hearts!

(obviously these are not the only charities we pledge to help, we want to do as much as we can for as many organisations, these are just the 3 we will mainly focus on as a group)
